Plan for September 16th
Only one timed writing at the September meeting--so we'll have more time to talk about the writing you'll be doing before we meet.
Please brings copies, if possible, of one piece of writing (and you're welcome to bring an extra to read if we have enough time to go around twice)....
Aim for about 300-600 words, double spaced.
What to write? I'm hoping that reading up to page 64 gives you lots of possible jumpstarts--as that's what this whole first section of the book is about. OR--you could write a poem, short story, or personal essay inspired by Ellen Bass' poem: an observation of strangers doing something. An observation of anything you can't not watch.
